A big thanks to Martin Sercombe for including two of my films in the upcoming Lyrical Visions VI at the Titirangi Theatre, Auckland, New Zealand next week. This is one of those events that would be really enjoyable to attend, with reciting and music, as well as a finely honed curation. I am so sad that it is so far away. I know Martin's work well as his  AI film Night is Paper (featured image) is included in the ekphrastic bilingual Poetry Book + Films publication (innovatively linked by QR code) and screening Frame to Frames : Your Eyes Follow II published by Poem Film Editions, available at Liberated Words www.liberatedwords.com or by email you can contact [email protected].

The first screening of all the Frame to Frame films, and my announcement of the winning film (by British artist Meriel Land)  was at FOTOGENIA, Mexico City, December, 2023, with many films based on the festival painting Huapango Torero by Mexican artist Ana Segovia.

My film BULL see above, also is included
in the ekphrastic bilingual poetry book Frame to Frames: Your Eyes Follow II and features my daughter the performance artist XaiLA as a mime artist.

Bull/Toro 5 mins Sarah Tremlett and XaiLA 2023
'Darkly comic mime cabaret provides the stage for Bull / Toro, which considers that man and bull are very similar, and respond in the same way to aggravation. An ekphrastic poetry film based on the painting Huapango Torero by Mexican artist Ana Segovia in the Italian sonnet form.' It can be viewed here https://vimeo.com/879866344

The second film he is showing is Mr Sky, an older film of mine with poem by Lucy English where I had shot the sky and the view throughout the day from a fixed frame camera, and these were made into a slot machine effect, where the different scenes rotate in parallel to the moods of a couple.

It is going to be a really memorable event so I am sorry not to be in NZ!
